A few cons to lowering your car are, if you lower it too much you may not have enough suspension for the extra weight, if you're insurance company somehow finds out that you lowered your car your insurance may go up. Also if you lower your car your chances of scraping and getting hooked on something are much higher and you'd go through parts a lot quicker.
